What does Christmas Mean for Many Swimmers?
Tuesday December 21, 2004
Some of my most challenging sets as a swimmer came during the days around the New Year. I came out of those practices too fatigued for sleep on the commute home from school. My body was traumatized. At my family%u2019s holiday meal I would sit comatose (almost), too tired to eat, wondering why I hadn't received the colorfully wrapped package with the new shoulders I wanted.
