Waterfall Flips Freestyle Flipturn Drill

Sunday July 23, 2006
If you've ever been lucky enough to stand UNDER a waterfall, and feel the force of the water as it pounds down on your head, neck, and back, you know that the water naturally pushes you forward, almost knocking you over. Move the flow of the water to your upper back, and you'll be pushed forward. Learning to use momentum, and creating a more direct line through your flip turns keeps you from wasting time and energy trying to set up and power through the turn. The Waterfall Flips Freestyle Flipturn Drill helps you learn how to do just that. (Glenn Mills/GoSwim)

i did this drill at my school where my coach was friends with dave D. i see the effects of it being pretty good. i gues the momentum your talking about is from the wave you created coming in to the wall.
