Most swimmers want something from their efforts. You might want to set a new personal best, or finish an event that you see as a challenge. Or even enter that first swim meet. If you do not want something out of your training, then what are you doing it for? Is there any motivation in not wanting anything? Your wants are the carrot at the end of your stick; they are designed to get you moving. Swimming with a purpose...
