Thoman and McGregory Close in on World Records at 2008 U.S. Open Swim Meet in Minneapolis

On the fourth day of competition at the 2008 U.S. Open Swim Meet in Minneapolis, Longhorn Aquatics teammates Nick Thoman (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Hayley McGregory (Houston, Texas) closed in on the world records in the 100m backstroke at the 2008 U.S Open. Both swimmers lowered the meet record in the event and earned their second gold medals of the competition.

It is great to see a swimmer of over 40 years make the U.S.A Olympic team. We alos have Mark Foster who is in his late 30’s. It’s wonderful to be able to say to senior swimmers that you have another 20 years to reach the top!
