Sun Protection for Swimmers

Saturday July 11, 2009
Swimming outside without getting burned can be a challenge. Between meets and workouts, you have to find the products that work for you. It might be a cream or lotion, or maybe the clothing you wear between events. While you are swimming outside, you need to protect your skin from the sun's rays.

Those are great tips on how to protect yourself from sunburn during swimming. I have found the best way to ensure a worry-free day at the pool or really at anytime is to wear uv protective swim shirts. The best one’s that I have tried have been the uv swim shirts made by UV Skinz. They have a UPF of 50, are chemical-free and provide all day sun protection. My 2 and 3-year-old absolutely LOVE to wear them and I am fully confident that they are safe from sunburn–in and out of the water.
