USA Swimming's Alex Meyer won the Men's 25K at the 2010 FINA Open Water World Swimming Championship Thursday in Roberval, Quebec. All four 25K swimmers on the U.S. Open Water Worlds Team, including Joe Kinderwater, Haley Anderson and Emily Hanson, had a strong showing in the event, finishing in the top 10 on both the men's and women's side. The overall team championship trophy at the
2010 FINA Open Water World Swimming Championships went to Italy, who earned a total of 116 points. Team USA was a close second with 111 points. Russia placed third with 62 points.
