All the pool swimming is done, and the USA came out way up with 30 medals (16 Gold, 8 Silver, 6 Bronze). Japan was second in total Olympic swimming medals with 11 (3 Silver, 8 Bronze), and in a tie for third with 10 Olympic medals, Australia (1 Gold, 6 Silver, 3 Bronze) and China (5 Gold, 2 Silver, 3 Bronze).
If you score the Olympics like a swim meet, with 5 pointes for first, 3 for second, and 1 for third, with relays counting double points, then the USA was first with 134, Australia second with 38, France third with 36, and China fourth with 35.
