2010 FINA Short Course World Swimming Championships

The 2010 FINA Short Course World Swimming Championships will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 15-19 December 2010. A new swim complex is well underway for the 2010 FINA world swim championships; the complex has two 50m pools, a 25m pool/diving well, and seating for 10,000 spectators.

2010 FINA Short Course World Championships Schedule of Swimming Events
The 5 day Short Course World Championship Swim Meet is swum over a 25 meter course - that makes it short course, vs. the 50 meter course used for the Olympics and for other championships. The world championships have prelims (heats), semi-finals, and finals for shorter events along with prelims (heats) and finals for the longer events. the 800 (women) and 1500 (men) are finals only.

2010 FINA Short Course World Championships USA Swim Team
Thirty-seven of the nation's top swimmers, including 2008 Olympic swimming gold medalists Ryan Lochte, Natalie Coughlin, Aaron Peirsol, and Rebecca Soni will travel to Dubai to represent Swimming Team USA at the 2010 FINA Short Course World Swim Championships, December 15-19.
