Divers may automatically qualify into the semifinals based on finishes at past events (including the 2006 junior and senior national championships, 2007 NCAA Championships). Divers not prequalified will dive in preliminaries on April 15-16 to earn spots in the semifinals, which start April 18.

- Kelci Bryant, 2006 World Cup medalist
- Chris Colwill, 2006 World Cup medalist
- Troy Dumais, 2006 World Cup medalist
- Mitch Richeson, 2006 World Cup medalist
- Ariel Rittenhouse, 2006 World Cup medalist
- Cassandra Cardinell, 2004 Olympic teammate of Dumais and Wilkinson's
- Justin Wilcock, 2004 Olympic teammate of Dumais and Wilkinson's
- Matt Cooper, 2006 1-meter national champion
- Meg Hostage, 2006 platform junior national champion
- Amanda Miller, 2007 three-time NCAA All-American and 2006 3-meter synchro national champion
- Mary Yarrison, 2006 3-meter synchro national champion
Not only will divers compete to win national championships, they will be vying for spots on U.S. rosters for upcoming international meets. Teams for the USA Diving Grand Prix, Grand Prix meets in Spain and Italy, and the World University Games will be chosen following the Speedo USA Diving Spring Nationals. Results also will help determine invitations to the Pan American Games team selection camp in May.
