Among the divers competing at the Kaiser Permanente National Diving Championships are 2000 Olympic gold medalist and 2005 world champion Laura Wilkinson (Spring, Texas) and all eight members of the 2007 Pan American Games team that won seven medals (two gold, two silver and three bronze) last week in Rio de Janeiro. 2000 and 2004 Olympian Troy Dumais (Ventura, Calif.), Haley Ishimatsu (Seal Beach, Calif.) and Kelci Bryant (Chatham, Ill.) each won two medals, and David Boudia (Noblesville, Ind.), Mary Beth Dunnichay (Elwood, Ind.), Thomas Finchum (Indianapolis, Ind.), Mitch Richeson (Greenwood, Ind.) and Ariel Rittenhouse (Santa Cruz, Calif.) also medaled at the Pan Am Games. The national championship field also includes 2004 Olympians Cassandra Cardinell (Loudonville, N.Y.) and Justin Wilcock (Smithfield, Utah).
The upcoming national battle for 10 premier diving titles, a key milestone in the march toward the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, will be streamed live exclusively on AT&T’s content-filled AT&T blue room site. Live coverage of the national diving competition finals is set for 2:30 – 7 p.m. ET on Aug. 4 and Aug. 5.
