USA Diver Nancilea Foster won the bronze medal in the women's 3-meter event to lead the USA in the second leg at the 2007 FINA Diving World Series. Foster turned in a consistent effort Saturday, scoring between 60 and 69 points on all five of her dives to finish with 323.90 points for the bronze. China's Guo Jingjing finished with 372.90 points to win gold for the second week in a row, having also won last week in Sheffield, England. Russia's Yuliya Pakhalina won her second silver of the 2007 Diving World Series with 362.50 points. Foster, who placed sixth at the Diving World Championships, was seventh last week.

Mitch Richeson (Greenwood, Ind.) and Troy Dumais (Ventura, Calif.) finished fifth with 391.62 points in the men's synchronized 3-meter contest. They were in second place after four rounds, but Richeson missed his reverse 3 ½ in the fifth round to drop the team to sixth place. They turned in the second-best score of the final round with 84 points on their reverse 2 ½ with ½ twists, but it wasn't enough to move back in the top three. World Champions Qin Kai and Wang Feng of China were first at 452.49 for their second World Series gold, and Canadians Alexandre Despatie and Arturo Miranda won their second silver with 409.68 points. The bronze went to Cuba's Jorge Betancourt and Erick Fornaris, who finished with 400.29 points. Dumais also competed in the men's 3-meter contest on Friday. He finished fifth with 447.75 points. Qin won the gold with 509.30 points.

David Boudia (Noblesville, Ind.) and Thomas Finchum (Indianapolis, Ind.) scored 423.42 to finish fourth in a tight 10-meter synchro contest, as less than four points separated silver from fourth. China's Lin Yue and Huo Liang won the event for the second week in a row, scoring 474.72 points to dominate in Mexico City. Cuba's Fornaris and Jose Guerra walked away with the silver with 427.02 points, while Russia's Gleb Galperin and Dmitriy Dobroskok were third at 424.98.

The World Series concludes next week, with the final leg scheduled for September 15-16, 2007 in Nanjing, China. The World Series is a three-week event featuring the top divers from the 2007 World Championships. The top eight finishers in the individual Olympic events and the top six synchronized teams from the World Championships were invited to participate in the World Series.
