Speedo USA Diving Spring National Championships in Boyds, Md., 18-22 April 2007
The Speedo USA Diving Spring National Championships will be held in Boyds, Md., from April 18-22. The meet will be held at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center, where the nation's best divers will compete for 10 national championships, as men's and women's titles will be awarded in 1-meter and 3-meter springboard, 10-meter platform, 3-meter synchro and 10-meter synchro.

Jevon Tarantino Wins His Second USA Diving National Title on 1-Meter Board
Jevon Tarantino won his second national title on 1-meter upon scoring 381.40 points Thursday at the 2007 Kaiser Permanente National Diving Championships at the Maas Diving Center. Harrison Jones was second at 364.85 points, and Nick McCrory scored 351.20 points for third.

Christina Loukas Wins 1-meter at 2007 USA Diving National Championships
Christina Loukas (Riverwoods, Ill.) scored 293.45 points to win the women’s 1-meter title at the 2007 Kaiser Permanente National Diving Championships at the Maas Diving Center on Wednesday afternoon. Loukas claimed her first individual national championship with solid, consistent diving. She received at least two marks of 8.0 or better on all five of her dives in the finals and was the only competitor to score no lower 7.0 from any judge on any dive.

The synchronized diving teams that will compete for national titles later this week at the 2007 Summer Kaiser Permanente USA National Diving Championships have been finalized following Tuesday’s semifinal competition. Men’s 3-meter and women’s 10-meter synchro titles will be awarded August 4, with men’s 10-meter and women’s 3-meter synchro finals taking place August 5.

Approximately 125 divers are expected to compete for 10 national championships, as men’s and women’s titles will be awarded on 1-meter, 3-meter, 10-meter, and 3-meter synchro and 10-meter synchro.

Nancilea Foster and Thomas Finchum closed out the Speedo USA Diving 2007 Spring National Championships by winning individual titles in women’s 3-meter and men’s 10-meter, respectively, on Sunday afternoon. Foster scored 347.25 points in her win, and Finchum tallied 512.05 points for his victory.

Chris Colwill and Jevon Tarantino won the men's 3-meter synchronized diving title, and Haley Ishimatsu and Mary Beth Dunnichay captured the women's 10-meter synchro title at the 2007 Speedo USA Diving Spring National Championships on Thursday. Colwill, who won the men's 1-meter title on Wednesday, and Tarantino scored 436.83 points to win the synchro title after deciding to dive together just a couple weeks earlier at an Olympic Medal Training Camp in Indianapolis the first week of April.

Both divers won national titles on 1-meter. Yarrison (Springfield, Va.) won the women's 1-meter title with 287.10 points to capture her first individual national title. Colwill, who also won 1-meter national titles in 2004 and 2006, scored 438.15 points in a dominating men's 1-meter win.

Finchum scored 498.40 points to win his third individual title on 10-meter, and he paired with David Boudia to claim the 10-meter synchro title with 429.24 points.
