Guide Review - Mission Sunscreens from Amanda Beard
The Ultra Sweat-proof Sunscreen Lotion (30+SPF) came in a 3.3 oz tube with a flip top. The top closed firmly, in case you throw it in a gear bag. The sunscreen? It worked. It was easy to apply, did not feel greasy, and seemed to last a long time (sorry, no real scientific test from me). One thing I really liked about it was no smell, it is fragrance free. The active ingredients are Avabenzone, Octocrylene, Oxybenzone, and Octisalate.
The Sun Defeated Continuous Spray Sunscreen (30+SPF) came in a 5 oz can with a locking top. Another good thing in case it goes in your gear bag. Just like the lotion, this was easy to apply, sweat-proof, and felt like it was still working even after a short swim. It felt almost dry as it went on, no slick greasy, slimy, or sticky feeling. It did have a slight fragrance, but I barely noticed it. The active ingredients are Homosalate, Octinoxate, Octisalate, and Oxybenzone.
