Athletes Nominated for 2008 US Paralympics Swimming Team

The U.S. Olympic Committee's Paralympics division announced today the 38 swimming athletes (20 male and 18 female) that have been nominated to represent the U.S. at the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing. US Paralympics Team Head Coach Julie O'Neill said the team includes incredible athletes and will be competitive in Beijing.

"We have an incredible group of athletes nominated to this team. This group has the potential to be the best swimming team that the USA has fielded to a major international event," said O'Neill. "The men's team is strong and includes several young up-and-coming athletes. Our women's team will be very dominant in Beijing and has numerous multiple-medalist candidates."
