Olympic Swimmer Michael Phelps maintained his perfect record on Sunday evening, winning three individual events and setting two meet records to bring his meet total to six gold medals and five meet records as the 2007 Toyota Santa Clara International Invitational drew to a close. Phelps' performance earned him the high-point award, while the women's award went to 16-year-old Pan American Games Team member Jessica Rodriquez.

The World record-holding trio of Michael Phelps, Brendan Hansen and Ryan Lochte headline the swimming talent slated to compete at the George Haines International Swim Center in Santa Clara CA, Jun 28-Jul 1 2007. The trio joins US Olympians Scott Usher, Kaitlin Sandeno, Erik Vendt and Tara Kirk at the fourth stop of the 2007 Toyota Grand Prix Series. Also swimming will be members of the 2007 US World Championships Team and international Olympic swimming stars Roland Schoeman and Ryk Neethling.
USA Divers Win Two Medals just Hours After Arriving in Spain for 2007 Grand Prix
Most of the team didn't arrive until 1:05 a.m. Friday; competition at the 2007 Comunidad de Madrid Grand Prix Diving Meet in Spain started at 9:30 a.m., but the Team USA divers didn't let travel delays and jet lag get in the way of Grand Prix success. The road-weary U.S. divers responded with two medals on the first day of competition at the Comunidad de Madrid on Friday. Haley Ishimatsu and Mary Beth Dunnichay won silver in 10-meter synchro, and Troy Dumais
took the bronze on men's 3-meter.

UltraSwim USA Swimming Grand Prix Swim Meet Begins Thursday 7 June 2007
Three-time Olympian and owner of 10 Olympic medals Gary Hall, Jr. will join Olympians Amanda Weir and Mark Gangloff in a deep field of swimmers set to compete at the Charlotte UltraSwim June 7-10, at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center in Charlotte, N.C. In addition, 17 members of the 2007 U.S. Pan American Games Team will swim at the meet.
Warkentin, Rose win 25K US Open Water Swimming 2007 National Championships
The 2007 USA Swimming Open Water National Championships wrapped up today in Fort Myers Beach, Fla., with the mens and womens 25K. Winning the mens race was swimmer Mark Warkentin of the Santa Barbara Swim Club, with a time of 5 hours, 20 minutes and 47 seconds. Erica Rose, swimming unattached, came out on top of the womens race with a time of 6:12:51.
Katie Hoff Wins Double Gold in Closing Session of 2007 Namesnik Grand Prix
Katie Hoff (Towson, Md.) turned in two gold medal-winning performances as the final day of action at the Eric Namesnik Grand Prix drew to a close in Ann Arbor, Mich. this morning. The 2004 Olympian accumulated one silver and two bronze medals in the meet prior to today. Michael Phelps (Baltimore, Md.) closed out his program with a silver medal in the mens 1500m freestyle. Phelps, who swam six individual events, finished the meet with five golds and one silver medal.
Eric Namesnik Grand Prix: Day 3 Evening Prelims Report
Prelims for 10 events were contested tonight, in preparation for tomorrows morning finals session. The Eric Namesnik Memorial Grand Prix will draw to close tomorrow, after finals in the 200m backstroke, 100m freestyle, 200m breaststroke, 200m butterfly and 800m free relay. In addition, the womens 800m freestyle, mens 1500m freestyle will be contested.
Peterson, Sutton Win Back-to-Back Open Water Swim Titles in Fort Myers
Chip Peterson and Chloe Sutton won their second titles of the week Saturday at the 2007 USA Swimming Open Water National Championships. Peterson, of North Carolina Aquatic Club, won the mens 10K race with a time of 1 hour, 41 minutes and 18.75 seconds, while Sutton, of California Capital Aquatics finished on top of the womens 10K in 1:49:08.63. Both swimmers were the defending national champions in this race, and both won the 5K race on Thursday.

Michael Phelps (Baltimore, Md.) brought his meet total to five individual first-place finishes after winning three events Saturday morning. Michael Phelps (Baltimore, Md.) and Kaitlin Sandeno (Lake Forest, Calif.) each earned two individual first-place finishes on day two of the 2007 Eric Namesnik Grand Prix at Canham Natatorium in Ann Arbor, Mich. today. Sandeno and Phelps were winners in the 200m individual medley and 400m freestyle.
Peterson, Sutton Win Open Water 2007 5K National Championships
Two highly favored swimmers won the mens and womens 5K race Thursday at USA Swimmings Open Water National Championships. Defending 5K national champion Chip Peterson, of North Carolina Aquatic Club, took the mens race in 52:39.20, while last years runner-up, Chloe Sutton, of California Capital Aquatics, came out on top of the womens race in 58:23.45.
2007 Eric Namesnik Memorial Grand Prix Swim Meet Day 1 - Prelims Report
The Eric Namesnik Memorial Grand Prix kicked off in Ann Arbor, Mich., tonight, with top swimmers advancing in six events. The finals of the 400m freestyle, 200m individual medley and 50m freestyle will begin tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. the Namesnik Grand Prix is the third stop on the 2007 Toyota Grand Prix Series, and the first to feature the Olympic-like schedule of evening prelims and morning finals.
Crippen, Margalis win Kiphuth Award at USA Swimming 2007 Spring Champs
The 2007 USA Swimming Spring Championships wrapped up Saturday night at the Nassau County Aquatics Center. Robert Margalis of Saint Petersburg capped off his meet with his fourth win, while Germantown Academys Teresa Crippen took home the womens Kiphuth Award for high points for her efforts this week.
Margalis Wins Third at USA Swimming National Spring Championships
Robert Margalis won his third event at the 2007 USA Swimming Spring Championships, taking the 400m free with a time of 3:52.78. Margalis, a swimmer on the 2007 U.S. Pan American Games team, also won the 200m butterfly on Wednesday and the 400m IM on Thursday. In Friday nights race, he took it out like a shot and was able to hold off a charging Fran Crippen of Mission Viejo in the final 50 meters. Crippen was second in 3:54.19, while Chad LaTourette, also of Mission Viejo, was third in 3:54.84.

Just because the 2007 FINA World Championships are underway is no reason for other aquatic championships to go on haitus, or to fall off of the 2007 Spring event schedule. There are still a variety of swimming, diving, and synchronized swimming end-of-season championships on the horizon.
Long Islands Eisenhower Park to host 2007 USA Swimming Spring Championships
The 2007 USA Swimming Spring Championships will be held March 27-31 at Long Islands Nassau County Aquatic Center. Heats begin at 9 a.m. each morning with finals starting at 5:30 p.m. The meet, which is officially sanctioned by USA Swimming, the national governing body for the sport, will feature talent including Olympic medalists, national champions and Long Islands top local talent. Highlighting the field are an array of Olympic medalists.
