2007 FINA World Championships - Melbourne, 17 March - 1 April 2007
The 2007 FINA World Championships are in Melbourne from 17 March through 1 April 2007. Follow the pool and ocean action as swimmers, divers, water polo players, synchronized swimmers, and open water swimmers go for the gold, silver, and bronze medals during the biggest aquatic competition prior to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

12th FINA World Championships Will Have Evening Finals
The competition programme of the 12th FINA World Championships, to be held in Melbourne (AUS) from March 17-April 1, 2007 has been released. In the Rod Laver Arena, temporary swimming pools installed by AstralPool will welcome the competitions of swimming and synchronised swimming. The swimming programme runs from March 25 to April 1, with heats being held in the morning and finals in the evening.

2007 FINA World Championships Swimming Races Broadcast Schedule
USA Swimming is teaming with the World Championship Sports Network (WCSN) to provide television coverage on Fox Sports Net and live web coverage on WCSN.com of the action from the 12th FINA Aquatics World Championships, March 17-April 1 in Melbourne, Australia. The 2007 World Championships is considered the top international swimming competition in the world outside of the Olympic Games, and this meet will be the best indicator of the stars to watch in 2008.

United States Vs. Australia
It’s one of the most storied Olympic rivalries in history between two of the most dominant swimming nations of all-time as swimmers from United States and Australia meet for the third Mutual of Omaha Duel in the Pool, April 3 at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre in Sydney, Australia. The unique event will boast a worldwide television audience, highlighted by NBC coverage in the United States. For the first time, the Aussies will have the advantage of the home crowd.

Toyota Southern California 2007 Grand Prix of Swimming
Olympic gold medalist Lenny Krayzelburg headlines a stacked field of 17 American Olympians expected to compete at the 2007 Toyota Southern California Grand Prix of Swimming, Jan. 12-15 at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool in Long Beach, Calif. This event is the first stop in the seven-meet Grand Prix series and is one of three meets in Southern California leading up to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. The event format is short course yards, meaning the swimmers will compete in a 25-yard pool.

2007 Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championships In Maui
The 2007 U.S. National Junior Team, comprised of America’s top young swimming talent, will compete at the 2007 Junior Pan Pacific Championships, Jan. 11-15 at the Kihei Aquatic Center in Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. Approximately 200 athletes from 11 countries are expected to swim in the meet, which will include both pool swimming events and the 10K open water swim.

21 U.S. Olympic Swimmers to Compete in U.S. Open
Nearly 1,000 swimmers, including 21 past US Olympic swimmers will compete at the U.S. Open in West Lafayette, Ind., beginning Thursday, Nov. 30. The line-up includes world record-holders Michael Phelps, Aaron Peirsol, Ian Crocker, and Cullen Jones; four-time Olympic gold medalist Lenny Krayzelburg will swim in his first major competition since the 2004 Olympics. On the female side, the field boasts 10 U.S. Olympians including American record-holders Katie Hoff, Amanda Weir, and Kaitlin Sandeno.

USA Swimming Names 2007 International Teams and Swimmers
Twenty-seven Olympians are among the swimmers who will compete at the 2007 FINA World Championships (March 25-April 1, Melbourne, Australia), 2007 Pan American Games (July 17-22, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and 2007 World University Games (Aug. 8-13, Bangkok, Thailand) for Team USA. The three teams were selected based on results from the 2006 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships and the 2006 Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Championships.

2005 U.S. Open Swimming Championships, Dec. 1-3
A number of U.S. Olympic swimmers and high-profile international stars are slated to compete at the 2005 U.S. Open, Dec. 1-3 at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center in Auburn, Ala. Approximately 600 athletes are registered for the meet.

Duel in the Pool Swim Meet
This winner-take-all dual swim meet will bring together the world’s two preeminent swimming powers in a showdown featuring many of the sport’s most exciting athletes, including American Olympic stars Michael Phelps, Natalie Coughlin, Aaron Peirsol and Ian Crocker. The Australians will come prepared with world-class standouts Grant Hackett, Leisel Jones, Matt Welsh and Jodie Henry. Also competing is a contingent of up-and-coming American stars, including Katie Hoff, Ryan Lochte and Kate Ziegler.

NCAA Swimming on ESPN2
ESPN2 will televise both the men's and women's 2005 NCAA DI Swimming and Diving Championships.
