Illustrated History of Synchronized Swimming
Synchronized Swimming, a women's only sport at the Olympic level, was an exhibition sport at the Olympic Games from 1948 to 1968, then became a full-fledged Summer Olympic sport in 1984. At the 1984, 1988, and 1992 games there were solo and duet events. In 1996, only a team event was held. Since 2000, a team event and a duet event has been held.
Illustrated History of Olympic Water Polo
Water polo started in Europe and in the USA. It later merged into one game, favoring the European style of play, around 1914. It became an Olympic sport in 1900, with women's polo added in 2000.
