Sutton's win Monday was her fourth of the meet, her sixth medal overall. She also won the 200m free, the 400m free and the 1500m free, and took second in the 200m butterfly and third in the 400m IM.
She now sits atop USA Swimming's Grand Prix Series leader board with 55 points, almost 30 points ahead of her next-closest competitors. Swimmers on USA Swimming's Grand Prix Series earn five points for each first-place finish, three points for each second-place finish and one point for each third-place finish. The swimmer with the most points at the end of the six-meet circuit will win a $20,000 grand prize. Missouri was the third stop on the 2009-10 Grand Prix Series.
Ricardo Monasterio won the men's 800m free in 8:15.82. It was his second win of the meet after taking the 1500m free on Sunday. Finishing behind him in the 800 were Alex Di Giorgio in 8:19.44 and Vertti Perez in 8:24.48.
