Endless Pool's High-power Model Now Available for Swimmers

From Endless Pools, for About.com

Thanks to a brand-new Endless Pool available at Cadence Cycling and Multisport Center, New York Triathletes needn't travel further than Tribeca to pack more power into their swimming stroke. The new pool, featuring a 7.5 horsepower motor (as opposed to the standard 5), offers a smoother, wider, deeper, more powerful current and a more efficient workout than the traditional Endless Pool.

But the pool isn't exclusive to New Yorkers: the high-powered model is now available for purchase nationwide for triathlon stores, training facilities, and residential use. Measuring just 8'x14', the Endless Pool provides all the benefits of a full-size pool in a fraction of the space. It is compact enough to fit virtually anywhere, indoors or out, making swimming year-round a possibility even in homes or facilities with limited space. Underwater cameras and full-length mirrors allow swimmers to see-and analyze-each stroke they take.

"The team from Cadence NYC came to us looking to expand on the traditional Endless Pool to meet the needs of their super-fit clientele," stated Mark Langan, marketing director for Endless Pools. "So we collaborated on a design for a top-of-the-line pool that highlights Cadence's quest for unrivaled training facilities."

"The best part about having a stronger current in an Endless Pool is being able to train at a very quick pace. I can go as fast as I'd ever need to go without being limited," stated Rebeccah Wassner, a professional triathlete and New York City resident who regularly trains at Cadence NYC. "Plus, by not having to worry about having to flip turn every 25 meters, I can really focus on my form. Overall, it's a great training tool."

Agrees Holden Comeau, a Cadence coach and professional triathlete, "We are thrilled to offer this model of the Endless Pool to our clients. It allows an athlete to accurately produce consistent effort in a controlled and predictable environment, which is a challenge in open water or in a competition pool. Plus, from a coaching standpoint, I'm able to easily monitor and analyze my swimmer's efforts as well as continue to challenge even the most advanced athletes."
