The 2010 Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) World Military Swimming and Lifesaving Championship will take place 23-29 August in Warendorf, Germany. The United States CISM Team is open to all Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, and Air Force participants. The CISM championship is a world class event, with past events including many of the world's top swimming and lifesaving performers.

To apply, candidates must submit an application through their respective Headquarters Sports Office. All applications are due to Marine Corps Sports no later than 1 July 2010. Application must list verifiable results from sanctioned competitions, to include name, date, and location of event. Personal records in individual's event(s) should also be noted. The final United States Armed Forces Team will be selected after thorough panel review of applications received from all branches of the Armed Forces.

A training camp has not been fully confirmed. Potential camp dates are 15-22 August 2010. All participants are expected to be in top physical condition prior to this training camp or the CISM Championship. Any athlete reporting to the camp not in competitive shape will immediately be returned to duty station.

All team members must possess a current passport, with expiration date no sooner than 25 February 2011. Non-U.S. Citizens must indicate country of citizenship on their application.

Freestyle: 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m

Butterfly: 50m, 100m, 200m
Medley: 200m
Relays: 4 X 100m Freestyle, 4 X 100m Medley

Anticipated Lifesaving Events have not been published to date. Events will be published on the Armed Forces Sports and Marine Corps Sports websites upon receipt of the official 2010 Swimming and Lifesaving invitation.
