U.S. Synchronized Swimming Names 2007 World Championship Synchro Swim Team

The 2007 Senior National Synchronized Swimming Team Trials concluded Tuesday, which facilitated the naming of the 2007 World Championship Team. The event was held at the McCorkle Aquatic Center on the campus of the Ohio State University, Dec. 11-12.

This team will represent the United States at the FINA World Aquatic Championships held in Melbourne, Australia, March 17-24. Members include (in alphabetical order):

Earlier in the week, United States Synchronized Swimming held the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, which nominated Jones and Nott to serve as the duet on the 2008 Olympic Team. The remaining members of the Olympic Team will be named April 28, 2007 in Indianapolis, Ind. at the U.S. National Championships.

About the Author: United States Synchronized Swimming (USSS) serves as the National Governing Body for the sport of synchronized swimming, appointed as such by the United States Olympic Committee. USSS is a membership-based and non-for-profit organization which services the sport from the grass roots level to the National Team. The mission statement of USSS is "to provide leadership and resources for the promotion and growth of synchronized swimming, to achieve competitive excellence at all levels and to develop broad based participation."
