Dave Denniston Injury Update

Saturday February 12, 2005
Dave Denniston will remain in Poudre Valley Hospital to begin rehab treatment following surgery to repair his spine. Denniston, age 26, was injured on February 6th in a sledding accident near Laramie, Wyoming, that has left him without the use of his legs. Dave's parents report that his famous sense of humor and his unfailing strength of character are still "very much intact." Dave, a graduate of Auburn University and 1999 NCAA Champion in the 200 breaststroke, was also a member of the 2003 US World Championship team. As an Irvine Novaquatics star, he placed 4th in the 100 breast and 6th in the 200 breast at last summer's US Olympic Trials. Dave Denniston Injury Update
