Marathon Swimmer Martin Strel and the Amazon River Swim Challenge

Marathon swimmer Martin Strel has chosen a big one this time - he plans to swim the length of the Amazon River. The Amazon Swim, all 3,375 miles (5,430 kms) will be covered live on the Internet. The swim is scheduled to take 70 days (Feb 1 - Apr 11, 2007). How will he fight off the piranhas, snakes, crocodiles and sharks? One plan is to use buckets of blood. Good luck, Martin!
