USA Places Two Divers in Women's 3-meter Semifinals at Worlds

Both divers representing the United States in the women’s 3-meter competition at the FINA World Championships have advanced to the semifinals after their results in Saturday’s preliminaries. Nancilea (Underwood) Foster (Spring, Texas) placed eighth with 297.15 points, and Kelci Bryant (Chatham, Ill.) was 12th with 284.85 points. China’s Guo Jingjing led the entire competition and finished atop the standings with 356.10 points. Sweden’s Anna Lindberg was second at 322.80.The top 18 divers from the prelims make it to the seminfinals, which will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday. The top 12 divers from the semis will advance to the finals, to be Sunday afternoon.
