The 2009 NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) men's and NCAA women's swimming and diving championship swim meets are as much a part of the annual March Madness as the NCAA basketball tournament - and there are NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) and NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) meets, too. MEN'S COLLEGIATE SWIMMING AND DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS

    • The 87th NCAA DI Men's Championship Swim Meet was 26-28 March 2009 at Texas A&M University's Student Rec Center Natatorium in College Station, Texas. Highlights of the 2009 Men's NCAA DI swim meet will be on ESPN2 1 April 2009 at 3:00 p.m. EST.
    • NCAA Division II Men's Swimming
      • The 46th NCAA Men's and 28th Women's Championship Swim Meet (it's a coed meet) was 11-14 March 2009 at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. It was part of the 2009 Division II National Championship Festival in Houston that included swimming, track and field, and wrestling.
    • NCAA Division III Men's Swimming
      • The 35th Men's and 28th Women's Championship Swim Meet (it's a coed meet) was 18-21 March 2009 at the University of Minnesota's University Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota (hosted by Macalester College).
    • NAIA Men's Swimming
      • The 53rd Men's and 29th Women's Championship Swim Meet (a coed meet) was 4-7 March 2009 at the St. Peters Rec-Plex in St. Peters, Missouri.
      • NJCAA Men's Swimming
        • The Men's and Women's NJCAA Championship Swim Meet (yes, a coed meet) was 4-7 March 2009 at Erie Community College's Burt Flickinger Athletic Center in Buffalo, New York.
